Ritz Camera Gift CertificatesAs you know, digital camera technology changes — and gets less expensive — by the time you’re finished reading the owner’s manual of that brand new digital camera. And before you know it, your “new kid on the block” camera is a has-been while you jealousy eye your friends showing off their new cameras.

What’s a person to do?

Ritz Camera is offering a camera trade-in program that lets you exchange your old, half-as-many-pixels-as-it-should-have digital camera for credit in purchasing one of the newest digital SLR or compact cameras.

The process for trading in your old camera is pretty simple:

  • List the equipment you would like to trade in using the no-obligation quoting system
  • You are provided an instant online quote for your gear
  • If you like the quote, pack up your equipment and ship it using a pre-paid shipping label
  • You are provided credit that you can use to purchase anything on the RitzCamera.com web site

Happy upgrading!

I have a Pentax *istD and a Pentax K10D that I would like to trade in. However I heard you do not trade in California?

My own profile states that I live in California, and I have had no trouble getting trade-in quotes for various cameras. Everything is done online and shipped via UPS so where you live in the U.S. shouldn’t matter whatsoever.

I will like trade in it for a Lumix

Just to clarify… this is talking about a trade-in program offered by RitzCamera.com, a separate company from any of the brick-and-mortar camera stores that are across the United States. Everything is done online. Simply go to CameraTradeIn.com and follow the instructions.
If you want to trade-in a camera at your local camera store, the best thing to do is take it in and ask.
