The latest tech info, bargains and reviews…
General Electric is a very well known company. If you think of anything from appliances to nuclear power plants the first thing that likely comes to mind is GE. One area that GE has not been so quick to dive into has been that of digital cameras. Think of digital cameras and you likely think of Nikon or Canon.
Given the size of the digital camera market and given GE’s expertise it is surprising that it has taken them this long to enter the field. What is not a surprise though is that they are entering the market with an incredibly strong offering. GE has had an opportunity to study all the other digital cameras out there and customer reactions to them. They have been able to short cut a lot of internal research and development by observing customers using digital cameras out in the field and with the wealth of information available they have been able to develop a great product.
What may come as a surprise though is that they are actually on their third generation of cameras and have had their designs marketed by other firms. Their new camera has incredible resolution and a touch screen and is one of the first cameras to have an HDMI port for pairing with the now widespread high definition television in people’s homes. These cameras are packed with technology and features customers will find very appealing and so are sure to do well.
