North Face Jackets

North Face Nuptse JacketNow, I love the snow and the brisk winter air as much as anyone. However, maybe it’s just because I am getting older, but this winter seems to be colder than others I’ve been through in the last few years. In fact, if it wasn’t for my collection of North Face Jackets, I don’t think I would even be able to stick my nose outside most days. My favorite is my North Face Nuptse down jacket; with its 700 goose down fill, it’s kept me toasty even on those days when the winter wind has come sweeping down off of the mountaintop.

One thing I love about this particular jacket is its light weight. It weighs less than 1 1/2 pounds, and I’m sure that over half of that weight is the goose down. Because of the quality of the down fill, the jacket can compress way down for packing or storage, but it regains all of its loft and insulating quality immediately. The Nuptse jacket also contains internal pockets and two hand warmer pockets, a cinch cord at the waist and Velcro, adjustable cuffs — all for the purpose of keeping the elements out and keeping everything inside warm.

I’m sure you can find this jacket at any outdoors store that carries the North Face line, but my favorite place to shop online is RockyMountainTrail.com. These folks really know their stuff, and they are a pleasure to do business with. If you aren’t familiar with them already, I highly recommend that you try them out… you won’t be disappointed.
